We are currently living in a software-defined world where Cloud and HPC systems are the backends of practically everything we use on a daily basis. Without them, there are no weather reports/predictions, maps, mail, messaging, TV, radio, music, etc.

In this context, heterogeneous, software-defined, high-performance computing environments become the norm and require the support of new DevOps tools and processes, to allow for efficient development, verification, deployment, and operation of applications.

SODALITE is an EU-funded project bringing new solutions to deal easier and faster with big amounts of data and to comply with security and privacy issues, solving the deployment problem over the existing infrastructure with a focus on application management, optimization, and performance.

SODALITE is having its final event on Thursday, December 9th from 11:30 to 14:00 CET, co-located at the HORIZON CLOUD Summit 2021 @CloudExpoEurope with the aim to present the results achieved after 34 months of funding, with a special focus on its powerful and robust end-to-end toolkit supporting Digital Transformation of European Industry by:

  • Increasing design and runtime effectiveness of software-defined infrastructures
  • Ensuring high-performance execution over dynamic heterogeneous execution environments
  • Increasing simplicity of modelling applications and infrastructures
  • Improving manageability, collaboration, and time-to-market

Moreover, the three use cases to validate the components developed will be presented along with a discussion panel on collaboration with other H2020 projects such as RADONPIACERE and LEXIS.
