Cray EMEA Research Lab (CERL) is led by Principal Engineer and Director of Research Adrian Tate and focuses on deep technical engagements with the European HPC and academic communities. CERL's main research focus is performance portability guided by hardware models. Currently, CERL is engaged in research projects in memory-aware middleware, heterogeneous programming environments development and workflow optimisation. Cray’s Centres of Excellence at KAUST, EPCC and GW4 are also part of CERL.
